GLIMS Genetics has been designed by MIPS to combine the power of a mature laboratory information system (LIS) for ‘traditional’ specialties with the specific needs of genetics, including those linked to more recent technologies such as Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS). The solution has already been successfully implemented in France’s university hospital of Poitiers, and will next be deployed in nine more genetics units in Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

South West London Pathology (SWLP) is replacing its Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). The new LIMS system is WinPath Enterprise. Blood Transfusion went live today at 9am at St George’s Hospital, Croydon Hospital and the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital.

The hosted solution will support standardisation across the network that covers a patient population of 2.6 million and handles more than 50 million tests a year, ahead of the opening of a new laboratory in Leeds in 2023
